A key theme to this year’s Earth Day Festival through our daily calendar adventure is to challenge all of us to look at the world around us in a different way. The story from the REED Center is a perfect example of that! Take a look - at the video and the landscape out your window. May it lead to a newfound appreciation; which leads to greater care and action on behalf of our environment! Learn more about the R.E.E.D. Center - Research, Education, Experience and Design - and increase your awareness and connection to the environment.
Fair Farms also challenges us to look at the world differently in terms of the food we eat.
Fair Farms is building a movement of Marylanders of all stripes, working together for a new food system — one that is fair to farmers, invests in homegrown healthy foods, and restores our waterways instead of polluting them. Take a look at how they are working to achieve this goal:

Fair Farms encourages you to shop local, support farmers that use sustainable farming methods, and fight for a fair food future. They are also building a network of sustainably focused farmers, restaurant and business owners, and other conservationists who work together to transform our food system.
We hope the journey of this year’s Earth Day Festival gives a new perspective and appreciation of our eco-system and the role we all play in it!
