Annapolis Green

A key partner of the annual Earth Day Festival is Annapolis Green. They work throughout the year to foster important actions and change. Their mission is to connect, inform and inspire residents, organizations and businesses to care for the environment, live more responsibly and create a more beautiful and thriving community, always with an eye toward individual action to mitigate the effects of Climate Change. Gardening and growing some of our own food is one way to do this, along with reducing our use of plastic and driving electric.

Take a look at their important message - gardening is a story of hope! You don’t need a lot of property to add in a vegetable or herb plant here and there to partner with your pollinator friendly flowering plants. Why relegate vegetable plants to the back of the garden? Flowers and vegetables look and work beautifully together!

Gardening brings people closer to Nature, especially when growing food along with ornamental plants. The pandemic made clear how fragile our supply chains are and how it is vital that we understand, and therefore protect, Nature. And of course, enjoy it too!
