Buenos Vecinos

Buenos Vecinos is committed to working with teachers, community members and children in mountain villages as well as those in need in Honduran and Guatemalan towns. It is our intention to connect with mutual respect and dignity and combine our work with love and humor as neighbors helping each other.

Healthy Communities

Communidades Saludables/Healthy Communities is a joint effort by GNG and BV to improve the health and conditions of families in Guatemala led by single mothers. This has included emergency medicine, food baskets, patching holes in roofs and walls, and buying mattresses so people are not sleeping on dirt floors. Recently, water filters have also been installed so families have clean water for bathing, cooking and drinking. Some photos of families we have helped are below. All of the families are known by Buenos Vecinos, and more information about all of them, how they are doing and what their current needs are is available. Just ask.
